Adding primary members

You must add a primary member (subscriber) before adding other family members.

  1. Click Add in the menu.
  2. The Get Member Information screen appears. Enter the new subscriber's member number (subscriber SSN or client-assigned ID) into the Member ID field. Select the Search button.
  3. The Client-Subclient Selection screen appears. See Specifying a client and subclient for additional information.
  1. The Add Member Information screen displays information about the plan, client and subclient, and the member number. Received Date is set to the current date; enter a different date if necessary. Fill in the member's information, making sure to fill in any required fields. See below for information on specific fields.
  1. Select Submit. The Family Composite screen appears, displaying the new subscriber. If appropriate, add a spouse and/or dependents.

If there are any errors, correct the information and select Submit again.

Additional information

  1. Last Name and First Name are required. Prefix, Middle Name, and Suffix are optional.
  2. If the member has only one name (such as Cher or Madonna), select the Single Name Indicator.
  3. The Eligibility Status Reason is preset to New Enrollment; if necessary, select another option.
  4. If the client or subclient has a retro-enrollment limit and the date you entered exceeds the limit, you may override the retro enrollment limit by selecting the box next to Override Retro Enrollment Limit.
