Adding family members to a subscriber

Once a subscriber has been added, you can add the subscriber's family members.

  1. If the subscriber's information is not currently displayed in the Family Composite screen, access the member as described in locating a member.
  2. Click Add Dependent.
  3. The Add Dependent screen displays information about the plan, client and subclient, and the member number. Received Date is set to the current date; enter a different date if necessary. Fill in the member's information, making sure to fill in any required fields. See below for information on specific fields.
  4. Select Submit. The Member Information screen displays the new member information. To proceed select Create New Member. The Family Composite screen appears, displaying the new member. To add another dependent, repeat these steps.

If there are any errors, correct the information, then select Submit again. Select Clear to discard the information and start over.

Additional information

Select the Add button next to any of the following items as needed. The correct screen will be displayed. Credit Restriction Type, Route Type, COB Order, Member Benefit Type, Designated Representative, Special Attribute, Custodial Parent, Client Field, and Policy are visible based on your contract and security.
